This is the first piece I ever finished and had matted and framed. I did this piece over 15 years. I started it when my son was only 6-7 and finshed when he was in junior high. He is now 26 years old. I have told him it is his and he should take it home but he says that he is not ready yet. Maybe when he has his own child, he will be ready.
My son has been in the Air National Guard since he was 18 years old. He enlisted as soon as he turned 17. He has always said it was what he wanted to do. I made him promise he would not go active duty until he completed his college education. He has completed his education and is now applying to become a pilot. I am very proud of him. He bought his home at 22. But like many 20's life is an endless party. Especially when you have no children and are unmarried. Other than becoming a pilot he is unsure what he would like to do in life but as we tell him, go out and do what you want to do. When the kids and marriage start life will be a whole different ball game.
Here is he next peice I will complete for him sometime next year
I have the pattern but have a couple of other projects ahead of this one.
